The Bridge Between Two Worlds That Need Each Other

THE
CRAFT

(2008-2018)

I didn't start in technology, I started where technology fears to go: the controlled chaos of professional kitchens.
  • 15+ Years Professional Kitchen Leadership- From dishwasher and stagier to executive chef across diverse concepts

  • Michelin Bib Gourmand Recipient - Honored for exceptional quality and value (2012, 2013)

  • Cooking across the continents EMEA & APAC

  • Food Network Competitor- Featured on Guy's Grocery Games, showcasing skills under pressure

  • James Beard Rising Star Semifinalist (2018) - .06% of Chefs Recognized among America's top emerging culinary talents

What This Taught Me:

Systems thinking under extreme pressure. Resource optimization in real-time. Team coordination when failure isn't an option. Quality consistency at scale.

These weren't just culinary skills—they were the foundation for everything that came next.

THE REVELATION

(2019-2022)

Seeing Algorithms in Action

During a 300-cover dinner service, I realized something profound: our kitchen was already an incredibly sophisticated algorithm.

15 people coordinating 200+ simultaneous tasks. Real-time resource allocation under extreme pressure. Quality control with zero tolerance for failure. Continuous optimization based on immediate feedback.

We were a nueral network—we just didn't call it that.

Instead of seeing technology as foreign to hospitality, I began to see hospitality as the perfect training ground for human-centered technology design.

BRIDGING
WORLDS

(2022-2024)

The most valuable AI solutions emerge at the intersection of deep domain expertise and technical capability.

Cross-Industry Insights Developed:

• How to design AI that works in high-pressure, real-world environments

• The importance of human-centered design in complex operational systems

• Why user adoption is more important than technical sophistication

• How to translate between technical capabilities and business outcomes

While others were building AI for idealized conditions, I was building AI for reality—hot, chaotic, fast-paced environments where solutions must work perfectly the first time.
